Who we are

Vyavahr is a billing and stock app for shops. In this policy "we" means the business that runs Vyavahr. "You" means the shop owner and anyone the owner gives a login to.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email, phone number, shop name, address and GSTIN.
• Your shop's records: bills, items, stock, customers, suppliers, payments, expenses and the other things you enter.
• Your customers' details that you enter, such as name, phone number and what they owe.
• Usage details: when you sign in, how many bills you make, and technical logs that help us fix problems.
• If you leave your number on our website: your phone number and anything else you type in the form.

How we use it

• To run the app for you: save your bills, keep stock, back up your data and show your reports.
• To support you and to call you about your trial, your plan or a request you made.
• To keep the service safe and fix problems.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your data

• You, and the staff you give a login to, in the role you choose. Cashiers never see cost or profit.
• Our team sees your account details, plan and usage totals (such as the number of bills) to run your account. We do not browse your bills, items or customer list.
• Your customers see only what you share with them, such as a bill link or your online store.
• Service providers that run the app for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage) and Vercel (hosting). When you use "read a supplier bill from a photo", the photo is sent to an AI service (Groq) to read it and is not stored there by us.
• The government or a court, when the law requires it.

Where it is stored and how long

Your data is stored with Supabase in a data centre in India (Mumbai) and backed up every night. We keep your data while your account is open, including after your trial or plan ends, so you can come back to it. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your shop's data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as our own invoices to you.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent. You can download a full backup of your shop at any time from Settings > Backups. To ask for anything else, call or write to us using the details on the Contact page.

Your customers' data

You decide what customer details to enter and you are responsible for having a good reason to keep them. We store and protect them for you and use them only to run the app.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each shop's data is kept separate in the database, so one shop can never read another's. Staff logins are limited by role.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before a big change takes effect.
